2010 Performing Groups

Please note that the Jazz Bands will be performing at the Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA) -- 410 4th Ave. North. This will also be the location for the evening concert with the student All-Star groups, and Jackie Ryan. Combos will be performing at the Edmonds Theatre – 415 Main Street

Arrival
Upon arrival at the ECA, busses should drop students off on 6th street at the gym door entrance. You will have storage space for cases in the gym during your warm-up and performance. Although the gym will be monitored, it isn’t a secured location and you shouldn’t plan on storing things all day. When it is your time you warm-up, please enter through the gym and up the stairs to the warm-up room. Please arrive, as noted on the schedule, about 30 minutes prior to your performance time to warm up. Throughout the day you are encouraged to listen to other groups, but as audience members you will need to enter from the back of the auditorium.

Performance
You will have a 40-minute performance slot (30 minutes for Middle Schools) which will include on/off time and a short award presentation following each group. We recommend that you plan on performing about 30 minutes of music (20 for Middle Schools). This isn’t an adjudicated performance, so have fun!

Equipment
We will provide a piano, bass amp, guitar amp and drum set in both the warm-up room and on stage. There will also be a set of vibes available on stage. Please plan on using this equipment to facilitate transitions. You will need to bring your own cymbals and patch chords. We will have a solo mic set up in each section, and two up front. The piano, bass and vibes will also be amplified.
